And so I'm selling some stuff on Ebay. Hopefully I can get rid of all the stuff so when I move next year, I won't have to move so much stuff. Just way too much stuff!!!! Time to rid of them all.
My predictions so far for Olympic Figure Skating result:
Men Gold: Plushenko, Silver: Joubert, Bronze: Oda Women Gold: Kim, Silver: Ando, Bronze: Rochette Pairs: Zhao/Shen, SAVCHENKO/SZOLKOWY, KAVAGUTI/SMIRNOV
Work is getting kinda slow. A bit nervous about my job. Not sure why. While I think it'll be a relief to be lay off because I will be able to concentrate on getting my license, I hate to have to ask my parents for money again. Wish I win a million dollar lottery so I can support myself without having to work. But I guess that's everyone's dream.
So i was totally nervous on Friday because I was to have my wisdom teeth removed. Just two. But still, I was worried. Everyone I spoke to were like make sure you take your pain pills right after. You are in for a hell weekend!
Then when I got to the doctor's office and was about to be put into sleep, he tells me my heart beat is irregular so he can only do my surgery under localized anesthesia. I'm like great. Just what I need. Luckily, I'm one of the few people who actually have straight wisdom teeth. All fours are out and all of them straight. In fact, none of them hurt. So why am I removing two of them? Well, because one of them had been mended one too many times. It's also chipped too. So my dentist said why don't I just remove it because it'll just cause trouble down the line. Since removing the top one means the bottom one has to go too. Thus I'm having two wisdom teeth removed. The surgery was quite quick. He gave me some shots and waited for ten minutes then came back and yank off two of my wisdom teeth under 2 minutes. It was really quick. Then off I went.
So I followed the direction the doctor gave me and took some pain killer pills (even though I actually just felt sore instead of pain). I'm saving rest of my vicodins for future use! I also got some prescription motrin iv. Those are good for later too! teehee! SO that was it. My face is a bit swollen though. I can totally see it. But I guess if you don't hard enough, you probably cannot tell. I hope rest of the recovery goes smoothly!
Naturally I stayed in most of the Friday and Saturday watching TV and lying in bed. I totally forgot but apparently skating season started this past weekend. I was lucky to remember and ended up watching the Grand Prix series in France. It was really good. Oda was fantastic. Rippon is the next generation! As for women's competition, I was rather disappointed with Mao Asada. She has not been able to put together clean short and long. And Yuna Kim is running away! I hope Mao catches up to Yuna. While I do like Yuna better, but it is boring to see one person totally dominating the sport. No surprises. No intensity. Just like when Federer dominates tennis. BORING. I have faith in Mao that hopefully she will give Yuna a run for her money during the Olympics!
Speaking of Olympics. I wish I can be there in person. One of my dream before I die is to see Olympic game in person. Specifically Figure skating, gymnastic, and swimming.
Oh yeah, this weekend was so packed. It also happens to be world gymnastic championship. Apparently the American girls did really well. Number one and two all around. I didn't see it though. I only saw individual competition. The men were so awesome. I just love muscle guys! But most of these guys are probably only 5'5". I prefer my men 6'2"-6'4". Anyhoo, I'm realistic. As long as he meets most of my criteria, height is not a deal breaker unless he's like 5'4" or something like that. That's just way too short for me.
So this guy named Yan Mingyong did this insane ring exercise. Practically the best ever in gymnastic history.
So like I applied to Discover card few months ago because one of my credit card got closed because I've not used it for several years. So that means my overall credit limit went down. That's not good because if I have a balance on my credit card, that means my credit score will go down. So I applied to two credit card companies. One of them being Discover card. I cannot believe the stupid Discover card only give me a limit of $1500. I'm like yeah, that's going to buy me a lot of things! I was totally insulted. The other company I applied to gave me like $8000 which is what I expected. Anyway, today I got a letter from Discover card saying they increased my limit to $1800!!! Maybe I should throw a party! That limit would not even buy me a retail Thom Browne cardigan! That stupid card is going back into my drawer and sit until half year from now when I buy a pack of tic tac!
I die! I'm slowly getting into the Zoe-ism. Yes, I'm talking about Rachael Zoe. Or aka Rach. I love the world she lives in. It's like it's own little enclave. 2 episodes ago, she talked about getting Vertigo. Poor girl. I know exactly how that feels because I get them too. They are the most horrible thing ever. But the odd thing is she lies down when she gets them which I don't get. When I get them, I have to be upright. When I lie down, I get dizzy right away so you can imagine how difficult it is to sleep. You just feel like you are on a roller coaster and never get off. It's around and around and around. None stop. Yeeks!
But enough about that. Let's talk about Brad. If he wasn't so nelly, I think he's actually quite cute. I like his outfits. I always wonder if he gets severe discount from Barney's or what? So here it is, he's in this vintage shop not wanting to buy a vintage Dior leather coat for 800 euro. I mean c'mon. A brand new Dior leather trench coat would easily retail for $4500-6000. 800 euro is like a eleven hundred dollars. It's really not that bad. AND considering he's wearing a $2000+ Thom Browne cashmere cardigan, AND considering he's wearing a $4000+ Thom Browne suit. I think he can spend $1100 on a leather trench coat. Even if he goes to Barney's warehouse sale, the cardigan would still cost him easily $600-$800! Anyway, I'm just wonder how much does Rach pay him?
It's kinda weird to pay someone to buy clothes for you. I mean how not confident one must be to have to pay someone to dress you??? But then again, people like Britney and miley cyrus really needs stylist. They are total disasters! They cannot dress properly to save their lives! I have to say Anne Hathaway always looks great. So kudos to Rach.
Now if only I can afford these delectable Thom Browne spring 2010 pieces: Love the Hoodie number! It's banana!
So last night I went to Kylie's concert in Oakland. It was fun! I swear to god I thought I was at the Fresh. Some of the comment I heard: "This is the gayest concert I've ever been to!" "Am I at Fresh?" The gay boys from SF were out in force. First my date was late so I was totally nervous that we were gonna be late to the concert. Well, actually my boss gave me some last minute assignment so I was rushing to get it done. When I finally got home, I was totally panicked. But I managed to get home on time (somewhat) and was waiting for my date. We were gonna take Bart but he got back from work late and we ended up driving to the Oak town instead. I was afraid that there were gonna be tons of traffic to get on Freeway due to bridge work. Luckily it was not bad. We got to the Fox theater half hour before 8. We then went to a small cafe around the corner to get some food. The sandwich was just ok. And it took them forever to make it. Anyhoo, we got to the theater at 8 and found out the show wasn't gonna start until 8:30!!! They never start on time!
The show was fab. Kylie looked great as well as her dancers. One of the male dancer was all tattooed. Very SF. Esp. right after the Folsom Street Fair. He got lots of cheers for sure! I would have to say she definitely knows her US target audience : Gay gay gay men! I am a bit disappointed that she didn't sing some of my fav songs of hers like: Chocolate, Fever, Butterfly. But she did sing some of my favs like: Slow, Red Blooded Woman, Love at First Sight. The best interpretation of her old song was definitely Locomotion! The sexiest one has to be Red Blooded Woman. All four male dancers were in swim trunks and towels! hehe.
All in all, it was fun. I wish she would come to US to tour more often. I can't remember when was the last time she actually came to US to tour. I have friends who would fly to London to watch her concert! I think that's a bit extreme. I mean that's kinda expensive don't you think? And just for a concert!?!
